CONCORSO PIANISTICO INTERNAZIONALE
"W. A. MOZART"
LUGANO
INTERNATIONAL
"W. A. MOZART" PIANO COMPETITION
LUGANO
PRESENTATION
The first "W. A. Mozart" International Piano Competition of Lugano originates from the desire to help young musicians to overcome this exceptional situation in their lives.
The possibility that concerts and every musical activity may restart in the next few months is as uncertain as the artists’ chance of moving around.
All this, however, is not going to last forever!
Through study and commitment young musicians will be able to face the moment when everything begins again according to familiar rhythms.
The jury will be composed by important masters, renowned teachers of conservatories, institutes and international academies.
To stay on the topic of solidarity, I decided not to name any president of the jury for this special edition.
The prizes consist of 6 scholarships for the top 3 pianists who will distinguish themselves in the 2 categories.
The competition’s rules aim at guaranteeing a fair evaluation of the competitors’ artistic qualities regardless of nationality and the school of provenance.
Good luck to all participants, wishing them brilliant careers!
